TECH-TILE™ SYSTEM

The Tech.Tile system, designed by Thomas Mann, is a tiling system constructed of aluminum, brass, copper and steel tiles with mirrored tile inclusions. The individual tiles are surfaced with patterns and thematic designs, employing a variety of techniques...including sandblasting, painting, drawing, incising, and grinding.

It made a splash premiere at the 2003 Philadelphia Furniture & Furnishings Show as a line of one-of-a-kind mirrors and a tiling alternative for foyers, bathrooms & kitchens and has since evolved into surfacing for furniture, AND NOW CLOCKS. A smaller version of the one-of-a-kind mirrors is now available for sale in our catalog and on guild.com and also soon to be available are the clocks pictured above.

Finished commissioned piece for Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz.

Tom’s latest commission was a 3’ high by 6’ wide wall sculpture installed in the foyer of law firm Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz LLP in Wilmington, Delaware. The dimensional aluminum quilt is backlit with green and purple neon with abstract planetary shape cut outs behind a stylized Earth in the center.
