Pin Vise
Hand tool that uses the collet system to grasp and hold bits much the same way a Dremel or Flexible Shaft Machine would, but allows for a more delicate use of the bit that is inserted.
In the FOS kit, the pin vise is used to hold the tap, or threader (see below).

Tap
Also known more familiarly as a "threader", a tap will put thread on the interior of a hole.
The hole for the tap must be slightly smaller than the tap itself.
The FOS kit uses an 0-80 tap, meaning that it will cut 80 threads per inch inside of a #55 drill hole. This matches the 0-80 miniature bolts that will thread into these "tapped", threaded holes.
It should be mounted in pin vise for optimum control (see above).
